You will be accommodated in modern container bungalows near the beach. The bungalows have a small kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a terrace with a small chill area. The comfortable containers are pleasantly cool despite the tropical weather.
They are surrounded by a beautiful and colorful garden with many exotic plants and animals. You will be provided with a bike in which you can explore the area during your free time.

In Puerto Viejo, SURF culture is an important part of life. Puerto Viejos is best known for the Salsa Brava Wave, the largest wave in Costa Rica.
The property is just minutes from Cocles Beach, which hosts annual surf competitions. You will have access to the best surf spot right around the corner. Cocles Beach is just one amongst other spectacular surf spots that you will discover with us.
The surf camp is for beginners and advanced!
In addition to private surfing lessons with a certified surf instructor, we will take you to the best waves in the area - adapting to your ability.

Puerto Viejo and surroundings
On the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, between beautiful beaches and wild jungle, is Puerto Viejo. A small fishing village which has retained its charm and Afro-Caribbean culture to this day. National parks, waterfalls, rainforests, palm-covered paradisiacal beaches and SURF are what Puerto Viejo is famous for. For those who love animals, you will get your money's worth here. Sloths and howler monkeys are amongst the most popular exotic species that you can see here. The village with its 2000 local inhabitants live on tourism and offer numerous restaurants, shops, and bars. As well as the best reggae parties in the Caribbean.
There is no better place to experience the Costa Rican motto "Pura Vida" than in Puerto Viejo. With its relaxed atmosphere and the unique mix of Latin and Indigenous cultures, Puerto Viejo has a particularly casual charm.

About us
Daniel Brown is local, he is a certified tour guide and surf instructor, and grew up in Puerto Viejo. Since he has a German mother, he speaks perfect German as well as Spanish and English. Having grown up in the rainforest, he has a trained eye for the entire flora and fauna of the rainforest and has guided tours through the whole country.
His wife Paula Ibarra is German-Chilean and has lived in Puerto Viejo for several years. She is herself an enthusiastic surfer and jewelry designer.
